Kaveh Sadeghian

  • Kaveh is an industry leader in inclusive online learning design and pedagogy. He directs learning strategy at edX, which facilitates online learning for more than 40 million learners in 196 countries. He also co-founded University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Social Impact Strategy, where he still serves as a Faculty Lecturer. Today, Kaveh is the CEO of Blacksmiths, which has supported the strategy and design of programming for several high-impact organizations, including the Obama Foundation and the Aspen Institute. Through his consulting work, Kaveh has trained over 6,000 impact-driven leaders, and the online programs he’s directly designed have reached over 300,000 learners to date.

Alexandra Ostrow
Chief Operating Officer
Co-Founder, Blacksmiths

  • Alexandra is a strategist and operations consultant who is deeply passionate about redesigning our social systems and workplaces to better care for our communities. Currently, she serves as a key support to inspiring leaders who are building or managing innovative education, employment, and philanthropic initiatives. Prior to this, she served as co-founder and COO to Momentum Advisory Collective, a 501(c)3 organization that provides employment, education, and life skills training to justice-involved youth across the country. Additionally, as the founder of WhyWhisper Collective, she worked with nonprofits, philanthropists, and businesses to strengthen and expand their positive impact. Alexandra’s clients have included The Center for Social Impact Strategy at the University of Pennsylvania, Echoing Green, New York State, Cafe Momentum, Starlight Children’s Foundation, Aspen Institute, and more.
